I built the frame for a hard side Hi/Lo style duck blind on my jon boat entirely out of maker pipe and EMT conduit. The shelf in the cabin area of the blind is aluminum since it has a stove recessed into it and two heaters below but the rest of the blind is covered in black ABS plastic sheeting with welded wire over it to attach natural vegetation too. The entire blind is held in place on the boats gunnels via structural pipe fittings I found at Lowes pictured below with a Rivnut and a bolt.
The front casting deck is separated from the cabin area for decoy storage. It has two hatches so you can access it from either inside or outside the boat. It can also double as a place for the dog to sit if there is a person sitting in the cockpit area.
The stern is also separated from the cabin by a wall with a door in it. to make what I refer to as the cockpit. This was intended to keep the cabin warmer by trapping more heat from the heaters and prevent the dog from getting everyone wet when they get back into the boat. The cock pit area has two entries, one on the front side of the boat that has a hatch that flips back to allow you to drive and then a small door back by the engine.
Let me know if you have questions about anything else! I love figuring out how to solve problems with maker pipe.
