I needed a simple garden trailer for hauling wood, leaves, tools, etc. around the property, and thought I would give my 3/4 connectors a try (my first use of them had been very simple, installing some vertical EMT supports to my garden canopy).

This new project involved bending the conduit as part of the process (my first time ever trying it). I started by laying out a simple curved frame, and then tried a couple different center conduit layouts before I settled on the one you see in the “upside down trailer” photo. I extended the conduit past the front of the trailer, bent it up to meet the hitch of my mower, flattened the end, then drilled a hole for a hitch pin.

I am really pleased with the results, and the rounded corners of the trailer give plenty of room for the zero turn mower to move around and still clear the rear tires. The only change I will probably make at some point is to reinforce the center conduit between the hitch and the front trailer edge. With a lot of weight on the trailer, it has a tendency to bend a little going over rough terrain.

Thanks to the maker pipe team for all the great ideas (like the use of 5/8 threaded rod with pex as a sleeve for the axle)!! I look forward to many more projects!!
