Any thoughts on the stability of this cage design for my desk (30" x 60")? I plan to mount my studio light(s) as well as two cameras—one forward-facing and one downward-facing. I may even modify it so my speakers are raised off of the desk and potentially mount my monitors as well.
I plan to clamp the cage to my desktop with four of the pictured clamps. I plan to drill holes into the legs and pass the clamp pin all the way through. I've also considered having a horizontal pipe at the base with t-mounts and just clamping through the opening. I'm leaning toward the former to have a bit more desk space.
I know I'll modify it once I get my hands on some product, but I'm trying to get a rough idea about what to order. The structural kit is looking like a decent start for at least this project.

The frame will hold a bunch of things like a main, overhead, and closeup camera with two monitors. Maybe you could make a simple mounting frame that bolts onto the underside of the desk top and do something similar? Just an thought. Let me know if you can help in any way.
