Hey all. Designing a disc golf cart and trying to think of the best way to make a sturdy flip up lid I can use as a seat (I'd attach a seat of some sort to the lid). This is what I have so far, I just wonder if there is an easier (more lightweight) way to do it. I need it to be sturdy as I'm a big guy so I like that this design locks the corners in. Would also be great if there was an option to lock it closed so I could pick it up from the top like luggage.
Design notes: All of the vertical lengths are 1 piece, for strength. There will be wheels on the back end, so the extra nubs at the front will be the legs that level the cart. The handle that sticks up will be a telescoping handle in the final version.
