Hi All,

First time building a project with EMT tube and Maker Pipe and I could use some ideas/suggestions from the community.

Project:
Building a swinging arm which is attached to a wall on my house and will rotate over the sidewalk. This arm will have my Level 2 EV charger cable attached to it (zip tied I think). My goal is to have a solution that is 8' over the side walk and reduce the potential hazard for pedestrians of tripping over a cable raceway on the side walk (this is on a hill).

Help needed:
Definitely open to any and all design suggestions and feedback, but here is the primary area I could use help on.

(A)
Marked (A) on the image. I'm not sure of the best way to attach the EMT tube to the house in a way that allows it to rotate almost 90°. Ideally it would be around 1 inch off the wall (but between ½ and 2" would be be fine).

Some ideas I've had:
- stack two metal junction boxes with knockouts and put a emt<>junction box connecter on the inside of the bottom junction box. Should allow to rotate, but will look poor aesthetically .
- some system where there is a thicker EMT outer conduit mounted vertically to the wall (maybe 1') and the main EMT conduit arm inserts into it and then can rotate inside it. Not sure how to mount the exterior tube to the wall, not sure of the best way to have a snug fit but will still rotate.
- I don't have any other ideas! Help, feedback, suggestions, really appreciated!

(B) My current plan for the corner is to put two 90° bends in the EMT. I considered doing two T-connectors but I suspect bends in the EMT would be strongest. Thoughts or other subbestions?

(C) To add strength (don't want the arm to sag down over the sidewalk), I'm planning on adding some time of telescoping pole to the end. This will be "short" when the arm is "stowed" over the flowerbed, and extended when the arm is out. Curious for feedback here?

Finally, I would love to figure out some want to latch the end of the emt to the wall (close to point (C)) – ideally a latch that could have a lock. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much! I've been reading this community for a while and excited to start my first project.
