Leonard recently shared this review for his ski racks. Super cool!

"My first project is a ski rack that will fit INSIDE of my Ford Transit. Don't like to have my skis exposed to all that mountain road nastiness and just piling them into the cargo area is rude to my dog who sits back there. Actually the rack will accommodate four sets of skis since I don't like to go alone. Skis are dense and four pair comes in at about 70 lbs. So the rack has to be compact and sturdy to handle the weight and acceleration of the skis on bumpy roads and during periods of speed up and speed down. Also, since this is going inside a cabin of a passenger car whatever holds them has to be safe.

Finally, the rack has to come in and out easily since I carry other stuff too. I looked high and low for components to make this with since I don't know how to weld and decided to try Maker Pipe. I like that the components seemed like tinker toys since I really had no idea what the final design of my rack would be. If my first try didn't work then I figured it would be no trouble to disassemble it and re use the components for the next try. Sure enough, it took three designs to finally get it right but all I had to do was take apart the failure and I had components for the next iteration. Near the end (the photos show the rack mostly complete on my work bench) I have exactly what I want. As for Maker Pipe quality, it is excellent. I bought black finished components. They arrived with no chips in the finish and look great. All components fit together perfectly, as they should, forming the 180, 90 and 45 degree angles they should. I was surprised by how rigid the assemblies were even with a minimum of bracing. The rack is very strong and will last as long as the car. FIVE STARS! Already working on the next project with Maker Pipe."
