This is my simple kayak rail loading system.
I bent the rail pipes 90 deg, and they are received by two T connectors on a flat pipe laying across the roof rack cross bars.
The system sets up quick and easy --- no need to tighten the rail pipes in as everything stays in place pressed against the j-hooks.
The gear ties are only really needed during travel.
