I built this turkey roost to keep my turkeys high enough above the ground to help protect them form predators. The actual roost is only attached to the roof and is 2 1/2 ft from the walls. There is only one connection to the wall . Raccoons can climb an angled metal conduit so I tried to use as few as possible. Raccoons are predators on young turkeys . The Roost is portable but currently is secured to steel fence posts that are at least 2 1/2 ft in the ground . The tarps catch a lot of wind and I want to prevent it for blowing over. I needed 2 more 45° connectors that I  did have so I had to bend the conduit for a creative solution. Because of the high stress put on the structure from wind caught by the tarps and the weight of 100 lbs or more of turkeys on the roost I drilled and put bolts through the Maker Pipe connectors. I put bolts in every connector except for a the 45° ones.  I used conduit because it is much lighter than wood .I  can move this structure by myself .I  flipped it on its side to put on the tarps and back upright by myself. Maker Pipe made the construction much easier. There was added time because I drilled and bolted almost all of the connectors.
