"After I installed my rooftop cargo box to the Yakima rack on the top of my camper shell, I lost my ability to carry my paddleboard and kayak together. I can strap the paddleboard over the top of the cargo box, but it looks cheesy and I can't get the kayak on too. So, I engaged in some three dimensional thinking and came up with this concept. I had to add the stabilizer as the Yakima bars are have a tad less girth than the 1" EMT conduit. That would cause the rack to go rhomboidal on me. Finally, I made it so I can still open the cargo box with the rack extension installed.

This is to prove the concept. I had extra 3/4" EMT conduit so I used that instead of buying some 1". Assuming the current setup works, I will buy another set of 1" clamps." - George
