Has anyone tried using foam brushes to hand paint EMT? It seems like it would spread more smoothly than a brush, without streaking and requiring two coats. Of course, I can try it myself, but someone else may have had experience with it and discovered problems.

Also, does someone have experience using Maker Pipe shrink wrap on 1/2" emt to learn how it holds up outdoors winter and summer -- and how thick it is once shrunk onto the tubing.? I am using 1/2" emt as horizontal rails on a deck railing.
