I love it when builders modify designs to fit their needs! Lots of cool stuff from Mike in this one.

"My kayak cart build.  #1 Threaded 3/8 inserts added to each end for tie down straps. I can go across or front to back in a x pattern as needed to help prevent the kayak from slipping off the cart if I hit something the wheels don't go over. The larger wheels were added to also help clear uneven ruts and railroad timbers on trails to prevent wash outs. #2 I extended the tube for the axle 1 inch on each side to move the 20-inch tires out of the way. #3 wheel chocks (repurposed door stops) to prevent the loaded cart from rolling into the water on steep ramps. #4 Hollow axle so I could add the quick release pins. The larger tires can get in the way during transit and storage. #5 Quick release on the kick stand used to adjust the angle if needed. I also have the adjustable length feature on the kick stand. #6 Large pool noodles added to the center part of each side. They fit snugly since I did not split them (purchased from Lowes. #7 Tubular webbing with stainless steel cam buckles. The webbing is rated to be used by mountain climbers. The normal cart worked great and is very sturdy, but I wanted to get over obstacles and not have the kayak slip off if I did have something to deal with. Once I started thinking of solutions using more of your products, I decided to build it as deluxe and over the top as I could think of. "
