Modified kayak cart with tie-down connections

I bought the maker pioe kayak cart to replace my pvc cart which coukd carry the weight of my loaded fishing kayak.
I was able to reuse my axle and 10" Harbor Freight wheels as well as some 3/4" conduit from a past project, so besides the maker kit, I spent $12.50 for 10' of conduit.

The design modification to the maker kit plans was carried over from my pvc cart. It included extended width axle to clear the tires with a bent metal plate to accept a carabiner. This allows a very quick connection of a tie-down strap to either side of the axle.
Also, closed cell pipe insulation was used for bunk covers.

Overall this kit is great and produces a very sturdy cart capable of handling the weight of a loaded fishing kayak. Total build time was about an hour with my previous experience and axle parts.
