Good afternoon. Community noob here.

I've just purchased one of these. It weighs in at about 16kg(33lbs) without the stand and is on a standard 100x100 VESA pattern.

I'm looking for a solution to mount to the desk I made. The picture is of my current dual arm solution. The desk is around 2 3/8" thick and 6ft x 3ft.

I was considering 2 pipe uprights (for strength) bolted through or to the desk (I can use 4" lag bolts if needed). As you can imagine, the monitor is quite front heavy and was considering using standard 3/4" steel pipe instead of EMT (again for added strength). It's more rigid and hope that might stop the monitor pulling forward.

The pipe doesn't have to be that long as I have my monitors very close to the desk. Anyone see issues using this over EMT?

All thoughts and ideas welcome.

Thanks very much.
