Been a while since I built this go kart but was trying to make it work with repurposed hoverboard motors. The most challenging part was adapting the drive components including the wheels to the live axle also made from 3/4 " EMT tubing. The front steering c brackets spindles and control arms are done strictly from EMT with pressed ends using my previous EMT press method I show in another post and coupled with MP connectors. No bought spindles as that would have been too easy. I wanted to make this project as much as possible total EMT and use only parts bought as necessary. The rear axle uses two bicycle wheel hubs modified to accept the drive spur gears in a 1:1 config with the the spur gears on the motors. Just need to tidy up the electronics which are driven by 2 Ryobi 18V DC batteries in series.
