I needed a workstation desk for my office. I picked up the tabletop from IKEA and just needed to build a stand for it. The tabletop is dense so the stand needed to be very sturdy.
I made a basic stand with a single cross brace in the back to make sure I could sit anywhere along it's length without bumping my legs or feet (you can see how I made sure the cross member was the right length).
I used one hole clamps to hold the tabletop in place and scotch rubber pad on contact areas to prevent damage to the tabletop.
I set my computer and monitors up on the desk and using zip ties to the conduit made cable management a breeze. After the build was put together, I had extra T connectors, so I made a headset rest which works perfectly and is really convenient.
Couldn't be happier with how this build worked out and look forward to expanding it in the future!
