I needed something as an occasional desk/workstation that would fit tight against the wall in a bedroom and stay out of the way most of the time. At only about a foot wide with a heavy monitor on top it had to be really stable.
The design my wife and I ultimately came up with worked perfectly. We used a regular 36" x 12" shelf board purchased from the home center with a keyboard drawer found online attached underneath.
This was the first Maker Pipe project for us but it took only a few hours and was surprisingly easy to accomplish. We're already planning several other projects.
