My project is a simple support structure for my wife's tomato and bean plants. It started with 8 sections of 3/4" conduit driven into the rocky New England soil, spaced 3' x 3' apart, but the tomatoes quickly outgrew those. I lengthened each of the verticals using set-screw couplings and connected them with ten horizontal 3' sections using four 90-degree and four 4-way connectors from Maker Pipe. The horizontal sections provide extra strength and also give the vines room to grow horizontally as well as vertically.
