Planter shade + area shade with roller shade for afternoon sun. Note addition of mounting plates for the roller. These are made from the trim board of the decking. This is on the north side, but still got too much sun to be comfortable. Now it's a pleasant escape. The extra height of the lighter shade cloth has a better feel and improves ventilation of the area. Shade held by tarp clips and ball bungees.
