We love Maker Pipe connectors. This is one of several of our MP builds. It was designed to fit what we wanted in a comfy porch sofa. It needed to be understated, sized to fit the area and comfortable for sitting, lounging or relaxing. After unsuccessful shopping, we decided to use MP to build to our specifications. The cushions and upholstery can be bought or, as in this case, a DIY project. The sofa is very sturdy and comfortable...it is exactly what we were looking for!

How did you bend those 90's in the arms...two 45's? I tried to bend 90's directly using a conduit bender tool, but kept folding the pipe.

The 90's in the arms were made using a Southwire 3/4" conduit bender. We found a good article in an issue of Fine Homebuilding magazine. I've attached a couple of links. We like the Fine Homebuilding "Crash Course in Conduit" so much we have a PDF of the entire article on file. It's been awhile since the sofa was made, and we don't do a lot of pipe bending, but we didn't have any problems. I think you'll like the article.

That is exactly the same bender I used. As soon as I would get about 70 degrees the pipe would crush. I have a lot of experience with 1/2", as I worked in the trades, but after 4 tries on the 3/4" I gave up.

Anita, We use the EMT one hole straps listed from Makerpipe. We spray painted them black to match the black wrap on the conduit. They attach with a screw to the seat support (3/4" birch plywood). Find them here. The sofa has worked very well for us.
