Help with shelf attachment

Hi everyone! Glad to find this community and tools! First post here as well. I'm dreaming up a project that will include the use of adjustable wiring shelving. I currently have the rubbermaid tough stuff shelving (or something to that effect). Ihad made a wooden stand awhile back to mount the brackets onto it to make an adjustable potting/gardening bench. I will be situating the shelving system un a grow tent and I don't want any wood in there. So I need to figure out a way to attach the mounting brackets to conduit. Anyone have an idea how to go about it? Would sheet metal screws be sufficient? Thanks in advance!
