"Here are photos of my first project using Maker Pipe EMT connectors. The project is a cantilevered trellis for my wife to grow gourds. She use to let them grow on the patio roof but we’re getting too old to be climbing up on the roof to tend and harvest the gourds. The completed trellis is approximately 10 feet wide and 16 feet long.

The trellis is anchored to the patio with adjustable angle flange connectors and to a 1”x 4” PVC trim board using regular flange connectors. The trim board simply sits on top of the planter wall. I attached welded wire cattle fence panels to the top of the structure for the gourds to grow on. I used reinforcing screws in the flanges and the adjustable 180 degree connectors. The connectors were easy to work with and the structure is very stable. At the end of the summer, I’ll try to remember to send a photo of the trellis covered in gourd vines." - Alan
