I made some adjustable poles using a center clamp and some yellow sheath.

I originally made them to hold a tarp overhead for sun shade. I discovered yesterday that they work for holding up sunflowers when they get top heavy. I put the pole on a rebar stake to hold it. The brass covered loop (Cle is pin) on the top fits around the sunflower stalk.
