Here's what Craig had to say about his great project!

"Mr. Schlitter, my wife is happy with the little garden vine canopy I made (and attached between the side of the house and our fence). I'm attaching three photos; the second probably shows best the maker pipe pieces I used on this 3/4 EMT. To create this rough triangle, the pieces joining in the middle have a 90 degree connector on one end and a 45 degree connector on the other. (I'd also purchased adjustable connectors in case my angles weren't right, but didn't wind up using them on this.) I sized this to equal exactly uncut ten-foot conduit lengths for the the outermost legs, then cut the middle leg to fit in between, then cut the two reinforcement pieces to fit.

The triangle width on the longest side is about 16 feet, the distance between three fence posts. To secure the ends, I used threaded pipe inserts and a closed eye hook to catch an open eye hook attached to the house and the fence. (I got my neighbor's permission before screwing those extension boards onto the fence posts.) I'm happy. I bet it will be there many years, acting as a guide for the thornless blackberry vines."
