Hello Maker Pipe. It has been a while since I posted here but I am back with some new parts I have designed inspired by the Maker Pipe Connectors which I am huge fan of.
I had the need for some specialized parts a while back while working on one of my many projects that never cease to end, and since I could not find something suitable or available, I made my own.
I have designed, tested and refined these new parts, and have the 3D printed versions, as I typically do with many of my projects, first, but being that these are plastic they are not suitable for permanent long time use. Therefore, I would l like to know if Maker Pipe would be willing to work with me on a joint effort to realize these parts in the same metal the standard Maker Pipe connector is made.
Since I designed these new parts to conform to the Maker Pipe standard 2-part clamp design, elegantly and methodically, I think the same tooling that makes the standard connectors can be used but with some slight modification, therefore saving in tooling costs or avoiding new tooling. I am thinking this from the perspective of a cost conscious manufacturer produc designer developer marketing and sales.
I have worked with other companies on similar projects dealing with specialized parts on a royalty basis and would like to know if this is feasible. I am very flexible and fair.
Samples of my work are easily found via my web site, you tube or Google keyword search MIA Micro-FLIGHT or by my name.
